Youth Minister
About Us: Central Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist church dedicated to glorifying God through worship, discipleship, and community outreach. We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Youth Minister to lead and nurture our youth ministry, guiding young people in their spiritual growth and fostering a solid biblical foundation. The position is part-time or bi-vocational.
Job Summary: The Youth Minister will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading all aspects of our youth ministry (grades 7-12). This role is ideal for someone who is called to minister to youth while balancing other vocational or personal commitments. The position offers flexibility, a supportive church community, and the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive youth ministry program, including Bible study, worship, fellowship, discipleship, and mission opportunities.
- Plan and lead weekly youth group meetings, special events, and outreach activities.
- Provide spiritual guidance and mentorship to youth, helping them to grow in their faith.
- Recruit, train, and oversee volunteers to assist in youth ministry activities.
- Collaborate with church leadership and parents to support the spiritual development of youth.
- Maintain open communication with parents, keeping them informed of youth ministry activities and goals.
- Participate in church staff meetings and contribute to the overall mission and vision of the church.
Qualifications:
- A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a vital, growing personal relationship with Him.
- Affirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 as well as the faith and practices of Central Baptist Church (https://cbcrockett.org/what-we-believe)
- Prior experience in youth ministry, whether volunteer or professional, is preferred but not required
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with church staff, volunteers, and parents.
- A heart for youth and a passion for seeing them grow in their relationship with Christ.
Compensation:
