Job Title: Minister of Youth The First Baptist Church of Campobello Position Type: Part-Time (20 hours per week)

Job Summary: The Minister of Youth position at First Baptist Church Campobello is a part-time salaried position. The individual must be passionate and have a sense of calling to lead the youth ministry. This individual is responsible for guiding and shepherding our middle and high school students, fostering spiritual growth, and creating a vibrant and engaging youth program that aligns with the mission and values of our church. This person is expected to work under the leadership and authority of the Pastor.

Responsibilities: The duties and expectations of the Minister with Youth will include, but not be limited to, the following: • Contribute to the mission and vision of the church through active involvement in church-wide programs. • Demonstrate a passion for Christ through personal spiritual discipline and public ministry. • Be accountable to the Pastor and collaborate with church staff and attend leadership meetings as required. • Uphold and encourage a safe environment for the youth and children of our church with compliance to Child Safety Policy. • Build ministry and mentoring relationships which promote the spiritual growth and lend emotional support to the youth in 6th-12th grade. • Plan and implement activities, both fun and spiritual, and chaperone as the primary leader, including annual summer camp/missions' experiences. • Develop and lead weekly youth group meetings, Bible studies, and Sunday School. • Actively seek and oversee volunteer support for all youth activities. • Encourage students in personal spiritual growth and equip them to share their faith. • Meet, greet, and follow up with youth who visit our church. Maintain regular communication with parents. Maintain clear and organized planning, budgeting, and reporting of youth ministry activities. Perform other duties as assigned by the Pastor.

Qualifications:

 Must profess faith in Jesus Christ, exhibit a commitment to sharing Christ with others and adhere to Southern Baptist beliefs and principles.  Must have a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.  Must become a member of First Baptist Church or already be a member.  Must have the ability to work collaboratively with church staff and volunteers.  Must possess good organizational skills.  Must possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to and connect with church members of all ages, youth, parents, and volunteers of diverse backgrounds.  Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey biblical truths and inspire others.  Must have flexibility in working hours to accommodate evening and weekend activities.  Must possess a bachelor's degree in Christian Ministry, Youth Ministry, Theology or a related field or have served previously as a youth minister. While this is not a requirement, it is considered beneficial for the role.  Must have experience working with youth and a demonstrated ability to connect with them.  Must pass a background check and follow the Church Child Safety Policy.

Compensation: Salary for this part-time position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. First Baptist Church reserves the right to change or reassign job duties at any time deemed appropriate.
