Job Overview

DUTIES:

• Develop with core leaders a vision for discipling and reaching students for Jesus.

• Coordinate with other church ministries for cooperation.

• Preparing and teaching Sunday morning to the youth group

• Planning and implementing a mid-week outreach service, aimed at bringing in youth from the community.

• Preparing a lesson for a weekly Bible study with the purpose of sharing the Gospel using issues that students face daily.

• Coordinate a youth missions trip including an effective way of training the students for missions prior to the trip.

• Coordinate monthly/ quarterly outreach events to establish relationships with the youth of the community.

• Organize and distribute a monthly calendar of events to inform students and parents of upcoming events.

• Develop relationships with students and parents.

• Schedule occasional meetings with youth workers to evaluate the group.

• Develop Youth program budget.

• Other responsibilities deemed necessary by senior pastor.

Job Description

This position will be responsible to the senior pastor for the overall development and implementation of reaching and discipling students of Abundant Life Baptist Church. This position will prepare and teach weekly Bible study for the students. In addition, the youth pastor will plan, organize, and schedule regular outreach events. This position will also be responsible for planning and implementing regular ministry activities.
