First Baptist Church of Irmo, located in the Columbia, SC suburb of Irmo, has an immediateneed for a Youth Paster to serve in growing and dynamic church.

The successful candidate for Youth Pastor must first love the Lord and yearn for others to knowhim. The successful candidate is also required to have a passion and a heart for students andpossess the ability to engage and build relationships. The successful candidate will teach theBible as the inerrant Word of God as this vital to the students' growth in their faith journey.

Responsibilities:1. Oversee all aspects of Youth Ministry including all trips, events, camps, and biblicalinstruction.2. Provide biblical teaching on all Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings, and Wednesdayevenings in a fun and engaging environment3. Develop relationships with students through discipleship opportunities4. Engage with parents and develop a relationship with them5. Be present at church outreach events and functions6. Oversee all meetings with parents and volunteers7. Lead youth council meetings (monthly) and attend staff/church council meetings(weekly)8. Perform all other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor and Associate Pastor.

Qualifications:1. Bachelor's Degree is preferred from an accredited University2. Ability to develop relationships with students and parents3. Ability to teach from the Bible and connect with real-life applications4. Ability to be coachable and teachable5. Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn6. Develop your relationship with Jesus Christ daily7. Must adhere to the Baptist Faith & Message 2000

Supervisor:Associate Pastor

Ministry experience is preferred but not required.

Part-time with the potential for full time employment. This job will require a minimum of 20hours per week and the ideal candidate must have a flexible schedule.
