The Youth Pastor partners with parents & leaders to ensure every student grades 5-12 has an opportunity to meet Jesus and experience grace & truth in community.

• Reports to: Lead Pastor (Overseen by Elders & Board)
• Flexible, team-based environment: We may add direct reports and/or change responsibilities dependent on team dynamics, gifting, capability & desire

Essential Responsibilities

• Ensure students and leaders are inviting and welcoming guests
• Use creativity and mystery to draw people in
• Get to know students in youth group and in the community to assess their needs
• Equip youth leaders to provide grace and truth in personal or sensitive situations
• Plan and implement activities that enable students to encounter the living God
• Create regular opportunities for students to practice their faith by leading and serving
• Establish environments that communicate peace & welcome to all backgrounds
• Train students to teach others what they’ve learned about God & His Word
• Live your faith with integrity, challenging students to do the same
• Ensure Scripture, prayer, service, stewardship & faithfulness are valued
• Work alongside Lead Pastor & Connections Pastor to identify and develop people’s gifts and passions, giving opportunities to serve
