Youth Pastor/Ministry Leader

Must be a Christian and sign a statement of faith. 2. Must be a member of Westside Baptist Church. 3. Must clear a criminal background check. 4. Must complete and pass a Child Protection Class annually. 5. Must maintain the highest level of moral and ethical standard. 6. Must possess a high quality of leadership, good interpersonal communication skills and adaptability. 7. Bachelors of Science degree or higher, in a related field is recommended and desired. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 months (minimum of 40 hours weekly) SUPERVISED BY: Associate Pastor JOB GOAL: The Youth Pastor is responsible to the Lord and to Westside Baptist Church for equipping the youth to witness, to grow and to develop in Christian maturity. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Work with committed adults through a Volunteer Ministry Program to provide leadership and support to the youth of the church. 2. Develop and coordinate a variety of youth sponsored activities to include but not limited to camps, conferences, retreats, lock-ins, mission work, study groups, weekend activities, Christian concerts, and programs of interest to youth of all ages. 3. Establish and maintain a calendar of youth programs and events. 4. Utilize budget to ensure that necessary supplies, materials, and equipment are available for programs and activities. 5. Hold parent meetings and maintain a positive interaction with families. 6. Assist in the development of long-range and short-range goals for the Youth Ministry. 7. Report on the status of the Youth Ministry at the request of the Pastor. 8. Provide support to volunteer leaders of ministries such as: Children's and Preschool Ministries. 9. Submit an annual budget for the Youth Ministry to the Stewardship Team for church approval and oversee budget per the church's guidelines and procedures. 10. Attend weekly staff meetings. 11. Attend church, association and statewide worship and educational training programs as directed by the Pastor and within budget constraints. 12. Help facilitate and oversee special events (Judgement House, etc.). 13. Maintain assigned equipment. 14. Carry out duties as assigned by the Pastor and/or Associate Pastor.
