The Chapel, a growing congregation located in the northeast region of Hickory, is seeking a Youth Pastor with a focus on sports ministries. We are looking to add someone to our staff who lives their life for Christ, has a passion to lead today's youth closer to Jesus, and enjoys using sports as a way to share the gospel with other children and families.

Job Description

Youth Pastor Responsibilities: • Developing a Youth Ministry that includes mentoring and discipling all youth – middle school through high school students (7th-12th Grade). • Lead youth in a weekly Bible Study, mission opportunities and activities throughout the year, holiday, and summer including retreats and camps. • Assist in areas as needed in support of the Senior Pastor. • Attend and participate in Sunday morning worship, Wednesday night activities and planned activities such as retreats, mission trips, and mission opportunities.

Sport Ministry Responsibilities: • Managing and Expanding the Upward Sport Ministry (currently we offer basketball and cheerleading, but would like to expand the sports offered and make this year-round). • Utilize the Family Life Center and Fitness Center, create
