Holy Trinity Reformed Church

forest, VA

Holy Trinity is a newly planted church located in Forest, VA outside of Lynchburg. We launched the second Sunday after Epiphany of this year. We have approximately 120 members and average around 125 attendees each week. Our mission is to see the growth of the Kingdom of God, which we pursue by raising godly covenantal children, faithfully preaching the Gospel to the lost, and diligently serving the poor and needy in our midst. We uphold traditional values, including the creational differences between men and women, and strongly advocate for Christian education. A foundational aspect of our community is the criticality of a daily and faithful walk with Jesus Christ. Our vision is to build up the Christian families in our community to love God with all their heart, soul, and mind. We pursue this goal through the right worship of the Trinity and sacrificially loving our neighbor, starting with our own family. We believe that Reformed theology, as shown in the Reformed confessions and historic creeds, provides the best summation of biblical doctrine. We follow a biblically grounded liturgy that is steeped in the historic Protestant forms of worship. Our distinctive practice of "Feasting as Warfare" reflects our conviction that joy and feasting are central to the Christian life. To this end, we make every Sunday a feast day, enjoying a communal meal provided by the church under the oversight of the deacons following our morning worship. Our congregation is predominantly younger and actively seeking deep, biblical shepherding. As we continue to grow and mature as a congregation, one of our most pressing needs is to find a pastor who can provide spiritual leadership and shepherd our flock.
