Why so many boards?
Church hiring is decentralised in a way most industries are not. A congregation's call may need approval from a presbytery or association, candidates are often expected to hold a particular ordination, and search committees frequently go to a trusted seminary before they advertise anywhere public. The result is that openings scatter across denominational channels, seminary placement offices, network boards and general job sites — and no one site has all of them.
The practical approach is to identify the two or three channels that match your situation and check those regularly, rather than hoping one board is comprehensive. These guides are meant to help you work out which ones those are.
