Position Summary –

The Worship/Youth Pastor is responsible for overseeing and leading LCC's Youth ministry to ensure consistent, Christ centered, biblical ministry that guides students in building a healthy, growing and lasting faith in Christ Jesus.

He is responsible for leading worship and the oversight of congregational worship.

Highschool Youth Pastoral Duties –

Lead high school students into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ by setting a godly example, building relationships, Bible teaching, etc.

Provide weekly discipleship opportunities for spiritual growth in both large and small setting such as Youth Group, Wed. night bible study, mentoring, reaching both churched and unchurched student.

Plan/schedule special events as needed (Camp Fircroft, Winter Youth, Youth conferences, Harvest Party, etc.)

Teach senior high Sunday school class

Communicate with parents through email, announcements, website, etc.

Attend school functions were students are involved at both Pacific and Bandon when possible

Have one on one lunches in school or local restaurants.

Middle school Pastoral Duties –

Lead middle school students into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ by setting a godly example, building relationships, Bible teaching, etc.

Provide weekly discipleship opportunities for spiritual growth in both large and small setting such as Youth Group, Wed. night, mentoring, reaching both churched and unchurched student.

Congregational Worship Pastor Duties –

Meet with the Pastor to plan weekly worship service.

Oversee weekly Sunday morning worship/Wednesday night bible study and special events (Christmas eve. Sunrise service etc.)

Help the worship ministry draw people into a deeper relationship with Jesus.

Recruit, train, and vet additional musicians.

Pick and vet songs for congregation that are biblical, in line with LCCs theology, and singable.

Schedule worship practice, fill ins, sound system and PowerPoint.

General Responsibilities –

Participate in weekly meeting with the Pastor by providing input for overall growth and direction of the church.

Meet regularly with the Pastor for mentoring and for personal growth & accountability.

Be willing to occasionally preach on Sunday morning.

Be active in the overall life of the church by meeting, getting to know and discipling church members.

Seek a balance between outreach and discipleship grounding students in God's Word.

Maintain good communication with the parents of the youth

Oversight and Accountability –

He will be directly supervised by the Pastor and Elders and attend regular elder meetings. He will prepare an annual report for presentation to the congregation at the annual meeting.
