Job Description:

The Assistant Pastor serves Christ Church PCA through hands-on pastoral ministry focused on the spiritual development of members. He will engage in pastoral visitation, teaching, counseling, and discipleship while providing ministerial oversight of youth and children's ministries. This is a shepherding role emphasizing direct care for people.

Position Qualifications:

RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS

Educational

• M.Div. or equivalent

Ordination

• Ordained or ordainable in the PCA

Character

• Possess the character and qualities of an elder as outlined in

1 Timothy 3, Titus 1, and the PCA Book of Church Order

Theological

• Confessionally Reformed and committed to the Westminster Standards

• Committed to the ordinary means of grace

• Biblical understanding of the gospel, conversion, and

discipleship

Ministry Strengths and Experience

• Demonstrates a shepherding heart and relationally warm character

• Gifted in teaching, with ability to communicate Scripture clearly

• Equipped for pastoral counseling and care

• Committed to pastoral visitation as a core ministry practice

• Passion for evangelism and equipping others for gospel witness

• Experience with family ministry

• Heart for discipleship and spiritual formation
