Children's Ministry (brKiDS) | Southport, NC | Full-time, salaried + benefits
Total annual compensation: $62,000–$72,000
Lead children's ministry. Develop leaders. Strengthen families.
Beach Road Church is seeking a dynamic individual to lead brKiDS, our ministry to children from birth through fourth grade. You'll develop adult leaders, build teams, and lead a safe, Christ-centered ministry that helps children know and follow Jesus. In addition to children's ministry, you'll lock arms with a collaborative brFAMILY leadership team striving to connect church and home by equipping parents to disciple their children in everyday life.
Leadership and Oversight
- Lead through leaders. Coach and equip the volunteer team leads: Kids Ministry Coordinator, Early Childhood Leads, and Hospitality Leads. Clarify expectations, strengthen their leadership, remove obstacles, and help them build healthy volunteer teams.
- Build committed teams. Champion, recruit, and onboard team members. Disciple and equip ministry leads to develop and retain their teams.
- Own the ministry week. Lead ministry programming with prepared teams, safe environments, and clear communication. Be present, accessible, encouraging, and ready to serve alongside your team.
- Shape direction and multiply ministry. Bring ideas and develop ministry priorities that deepen discipleship among children and families. Turn those priorities into practical plans, equip others to lead them, and address obstacles to healthy ministry.
- Connect church and home. Partner with the brFAMILY team to provide parent coaching, resources, and care, including our Milestone Journey, Parent Equip Nights, and sermon-aligned curriculum for kids and teens.
What You Bring
A growing relationship with Jesus and alignment with Beach Road's doctrine and family discipleship philosophy.
Demonstrated experience, or strong transferable skills, in recruiting volunteers, developing adult leaders, connecting with children, and leading ministry environments with excellence. You bring a genuine calling to ministry, sound judgment, teachability, a relational approach to leadership, and a commitment to child safety, ministry excellence, and pastoral care.
