Job Description

Responsibilities:

The associate pastor will have tasks that align with his particular gifting. These duties may include:

• Filling the pulpit as requested by the senior pastor
• Provide pastoral care and counseling, as needed
• Work closely with the senior pastor, helping meet the needs of the church body and working toward the healthy growth of the church
• Collaborate with staff and volunteers to ensure smooth operation of church ministries
• Work closely with children's and youth leaders, overseeing those ministries
• Help in small groups and men's ministry
• Show hospitality in some way to connect with church families, particularly younger families
• Be active members of the church

The ideal candidate will be married with a wife engaged in ministry with him, have some prior experience in Alaska or a remote location, and with a love for the church body.
