Job Title:

Associate pastor: North Fort Myers Presbyterian

Job Description:

The ministry duties of the associate pastor would include but not be limited to:

Generally:

– working along side the pastor and ruling elders

– shepherding the flock of God in this local body of Christ

– being an example to the flock in leading a godly Christian life

Specifically:

– sharing in the preaching ministry by preaching at least twice a month mostly on Sunday evenings

– leading worship on occasion

– fulfilling the role of a regular teacher in the adult Sunday school rotation

– organizing and facilitating small group Bible studies as the opportunities arise

– being involved in some counseling responsibilities

– engaging in some home or hospital visitation for members or regular attendees

– possibly organizing and being involved in an "RUF-style" youth ministry committed to grounding our young people in God's word and the Westminster standards

– having some responsibilities involving leading a "new members class" or "inquirers class"

– helping in sharing teaching duties involving an officer training class

Position Qualifications:

– Ordained or able to be ordained in the PCA

– Committed to the regulative principle of worship and a "means of grace" ministry
