Warrenton Baptist Church is a congregation of Christ-followers joyfully committed to the gospel of Jesus Christ, the authority of Scripture, and the fellowship of the people of God. We seek an Associate Pastor of Family Ministries & Worship to oversee and administrate our family-oriented ministries, to lead our congregation in Christ-exalting worship, and to shepherd and equip families with children for home discipleship.

This pastor will oversee and work closely with the church's children and youth ministry teams, providing pastoral direction, training, and theological alignment while those team members carry out the week-to-week teaching and programming for their respective ministries. He will also be instrumental in planning and facilitating congregational singing during our times of corporate gathering.

Qualifications

• Personal relationship with Jesus Christ marked by spiritual maturity and integrity• Agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message (2000)• A man who demonstrates the qualifications of an elder found in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1• Seminary training or equivalent pastoral experience preferred• Demonstrated experience in family ministry, worship leadership, and educational program development• Ability to disciple and lead ministry staff with wisdom, clarity, and encouragement• Musical proficiency and capacity to lead congregational worship• Strong organizational and communication skills with a pastoral heart for all ages

Responsibilities

Family Ministries

• Establish ministry goals and discipleship pathways that align with the overall mission of Warrenton Baptist Church• Provide vision, discipleship, and strategic direction for all family ministries, ensuring doctrinal unity and Scriptural soundness• Supervise and mentor the children and youth ministry teams, offering support, encouragement, and accountability• Equip and develop volunteers and leaders to build effective teams and strong parent partnerships• Oversee curriculum selection and development for the Children's and Youth ministries• Foster a culture of intergenerational discipleship and family worship within the congregation• Manage budget lines and calendars of all family ministries of WBC

Worship & Music Leadership

• Plan and facilitate congregational singing for Sunday worship services marked by biblical fidelity, congregational participation, and theological depth• Provide musical and spiritual leadership for worship teams, instrumentalists, and vocalists• Oversee song selection in line with the church's doctrinal commitments and worship philosophy• Recruit, equip, and mobilize musically gifted members within the church body• Work with the Senior Pastor to manage budget lines for worship and to calendar special worship services throughout the year

General Pastoral Duties

• Assist with preaching, teaching, pastoral counseling, and visitation as needed• Participate actively in staff meetings and collaborate with the Senior Pastor and Elders to implement church vision
