Job Overview
The Associate Pastor of Students, in partnership with other students staff, is responsible for leading, developing, and sustaining a vibrant, Christ-centered ministry for middle school and high school students (grades 6–12). This role exists to disciple students, equip leaders, partner with parents, and cultivate a spiritually healthy, relationally rich youth culture aligned with the mission and values of White Rock Fellowship. The ideal candidate will be a female Christian of integrity and character, possessing strong relational skills with an ability to gather students, theological and biblical training, self-initiative, and a clear vocational call to ministry.

Qualifications:

Demonstrate a true faith in Jesus by living according to His word.

Previous experience in a children's ministry setting (staff or volunteer).

Communicate well with both children and adults.

Ability to recruit, lead, and equip volunteers.

Be implementation-minded, a self-starter, and willing to learn.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. TEACHING AND LEADERSHIP
-
Work with youth staff and volunteers to implement our vision for student ministry: "Discover truth, experience community, live on mission"

Teach biblically sound and age-appropriate messages during Sunday morning and Wednesday evening youth group.
2. DISCIPLESHIP
-
Regularly meet with students in one-on-one and small group settings throughout the week for discipleship.

Build relationships and trust with students by regularly attending student events (athletic events, recitals, school lunches etc).

Develop relationships with parents to better partner with parents for discipleship
3. ADMINISTRATION

Recruit and coordinate adult volunteers to mentor and disciple students

Communicate with parents and volunteers about youth events

Help plan and coordinate youth retreats and summer mission trips

Attend and participate in all staff meetings
4. GENERAL PASTORAL DUTIES

Assist with general church events as needed

Engage in other pastoral work as needed (hospital visits, home visits, counseling, etc.)
5. JOB REQUIREMENTS
-
Previous youth ministry experience (paid or volunteer)

Bible college/seminary training or willingness to pursue biblical and theological training while employed at White Rock Fellowship

Exemplary Christian character – ability to say with Paul, "Follow me as I follow Christ" (1 Corinthians 11:1)
