ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Associate Pastor of Worship & Media at The Brook will be a man who feels the call and conviction on his life to shepherd God's people, primarily through leading corporate worship. He will oversee and lead our Sunday worship gatherings, our bands, tech teams, and all creative aspects of our worship services. Actively partnering with the Lead Pastor, he will disciple, cultivate, and equip worship leaders from within The Brook, will be available to preach 1-2 times throughout the year, and will set an example along with all our pastors and elders as an overseer in pastoring and shepherding our people.
In addition, the Associate Pastor of Worship & Media will also lead and oversee all creative aspects of our worship services and communication. This will include:
• Researching and planning (with the Lead Pastor and/or worship leaders) meaningful moments of worship, music, prayer, video, etc...in creative ways that support the main theme of the sermon, sermon series and service.
• Coordinating/leading deacons who are overseeing baptism and communion.
• Leading and overseeing all creative mediums (videos, storytelling, social media posts, podcasts, etc...) used for worship enhancement.
• Overseeing lead worship teams for our Children's and Youth Ministries.
• Overseeing our social media strategy and in-house media efforts.
ABOUT THE CANDIDATE:
The Associate Pastor of Worship & Media at The Brook will have strong leadership skills and experience, will sense a clear calling to shepherd God's people, and will have the capacity to work with and effectively lead a worship team, both musically and spiritually. This individual will embody the vision and mission of The Brook, will carry himself humbly yet confidently as a pastor, and will possess an exceedingly strong sense of discernment in thinking creatively to lead our people in living to worship Jesus Christ and advance His Kingdom. In addition, here are some other traits this individual will possess:
• A strong sense of self-awareness and emotional intelligence.
• Exceptional people and organizational skills.
• A strong conviction and proven experience toward "equipping the saints to do the work of ministry" as Paul says in Ephesians 4:11-12.
• A clear and evident love of the Word of God.

WORSHIP
Oversee the Worship Ministry at The Brook
• Plan & lead meaningful sets of worship for The Brook's worship gatherings.
• Create, oversee, and steward the Worship Ministry Budget.
• Continually model "worship as a way of life" for our church body.
• Lead/oversee all rehearsals for services.
• Discover, develop, and introduce new worship music.
• Disciple, cultivate, and equip worship leaders from within The Brook.
• Develop an intentional plan and map for leader development.
• Oversee and coordinate worship leaders and teams for Children's & Youth Ministries. Recruit, oversee and work with band & musicians and sound & video tech team leaders, ensuring they are equipped and empowered to lead their teams.
• Intentionally build community among these teams as they work together.
• Organize, prepare, and communicate with teams for all services.
• Musically & theologically challenge and sharpen all worship leaders & band members.
• Provide any training needed in these areas to consistently improve our teams. Create and oversee creative experiences and enhancement for our services.
• Research and plan (with the Lead Pastor &/or worship leaders) meaningful moments of worship, music, prayer, video, etc... in creative ways that support the main theme of the sermon, sermon series and service.
• Coordinate with deacons who are overseeing baptism and communion.
• Lead and oversee all creative mediums used for worship enhancement. Establish and nurture gospel partnerships.
• Engage locally with other worship pastors and worship leaders for encouragement, creative outlets, and gospel partnership.
• Work with worship pastors within Acts 29 for camaraderie and coaching.
MEDIA
• Oversee all media, including social media, sermon audio/video, livestream production, graphics and bumpers for sermon series and any church-related ministry or event, baptism videos, and video creation and production for all ministries.
PASTOR/SHEPHERD
• Be ready and available to preach 1-2 times a year.
• Be available to provide initial counsel to members of The Brook, effectively following up and handing off to the Connection Pastor.
• Occasionally officiate premarital counseling, weddings, and funerals as needed.
