Emmanuel Baptist Church located in Mountain Home, Idaho is seeking a bivocational pastor with prayerful hope of becoming a full-time pastor as our church grows. We are a small conservative Southern Baptist Church ascribing to the doctrinal statement of "The Baptist Faith and Message" 2000 edition. Our congregation is comprised of a mature demographic with a desire to reach out not only to our community but to offer a spiritual home for those serving our country in the nearby Air Force base.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

· Preach and teach the Word of God during weekly services and Bible studies.

· Provide spiritual leadership, pastoral care, counseling to members.

· Lead in outreach and evangelism efforts within the community and the local USAF Base, to include participation in Vacation Bible School.

· Officiate weddings, funerals, Baptisms,, and other Church ordinances such as The Lord's Supper.

· Publicly welcome new members on behalf of the Church, promote missionary endeavors, home and foreign, as far as possible through the Southern Baptist Convention.

· Serve as an ex-officio member of all committees, boards, councils, and auxiliary organizations of the Church .

· Be an ordained Southern Baptist Minister, meeting the qualifications as stated in 1Timothy3:1-7.

· Bible College or Seminary education is preferred.

· Maintain some business hours in the church building through the week. (This can be discussed and can be flexible.)

· Supervision of the maintenance of the church building and grounds as seen to by the head of the Building and Grounds committee.

· Guide the Church in vision, growth, and discipleship.

· Represent the Church in association, convention, and denominational meetings.
