MIDDLETOWN BAPTIEST CHURCH PASTOR JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title Description Requirement Bi-Vocational Pastor Position Bi-Vocational pastor with Elder shared pastoral duties and responsibilities to include Sunday morning worship and pastoral care visits. Additionally, lead the church to participate in associational ministry and mission opportunities. The pastor should be a man called of God to the ministry of the Gospel, a true Servant relationship, and whose Christian character and qualifications (1 Timothy 3:17) fit him for office. He should be an overseer and shepherd, along with the Elders of the church, giving direction to the total ministry of the church (1 Peter 5:2-3) through the preaching and teaching of the Bible. A pastor who is willing to invest himself in ministry with teaching and along with the Elders share in the duties of visitation, baptisms, funerals and church associational meeting attendance. A pastor with experience in the growth of a church.
