Children's Director (Part-Time)

We are seeking a part-time Children's Director who is a professing Christian with a passion for children's ministry. This role provides spiritual leadership, organization, and oversight for all children's ministry programs, supporting children, families, volunteers, and church staff.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities • Provide vision and leadership for children's ministry programs, including weekly programming and seasonal events. • Foster children's spiritual growth through biblical teaching, worship, missions, and community service opportunities. • Plan and coordinate special events such as Vacation Bible School, camps, retreats, and family-focused activities. • Recruit, train, schedule, and support volunteers for Sunday School, Children's Church, nursery, and special events. • Serve regularly as a teacher in Sunday and Wednesday children's programs. • Communicate effectively with families through newsletters, church communications, and digital platforms. • Collaborate with the Pastor, Children's Committee, and church staff to align ministry with the church's mission. • Manage the children's ministry budget and ensure safe, well-organized programming. Qualifications • Active, professing Christian and member (or willing to become a member) • Strong organizational, leadership, and relational skills. • Experience working with children and volunteers in a church or ministry setting is preferred. • Commitment to child safety, confidentiality, and church child-protection policies. Position Details • Part-time: 10–12 hours per week • Base hours are Sunday mornings until noon and Wednesday nights 5:30 – 8:00. Hours will vary week to week with different events. • Annual compensation: $10,000–$12,000, based on experience • Pre-approved training and conference expenses covered • Background check required
