Job Summary
The Refuge Church Children's Minister will provide leadership and oversight for the children's ministry of our growing church plant. This part-time role is ideal for someone who loves Jesus, has a zeal for the spiritual formation of children, and enjoys building ministry from the ground up. The Children's Minister will create a safe, welcoming, and Christ-centered environment where children can grow in their faith.

Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
1.Ministry Leadership
- Lead a biblically grounded children's ministry for toddlers through early elementary-aged children.
- Foster a welcoming and safe environment for children.
- Oversee Sunday morning programming and any additional children's events.
2.Volunteer Development
- Recruit, train, and schedule children's ministry volunteers.
- Build a healthy volunteer culture focused on discipleship, excellence, and love for God and others.
- Ensure all volunteers complete required background checks and child safety training.
3.Vision and Collaboration
- Work closely with the pastoral team to support the overall mission of the church.
- Help shape the future growth and direction of the children's ministry.
Qualifications
- Demonstrates a genuine love for the Lord and other people with and through a Christ-honoring life.
- Is committed to the vision, values, and beliefs of Refuge Church, including our Statement of Faith.
- Possesses a warm personality that connects well with all kinds of people, especially children.
- Must successfully complete a background check.
Schedule & Compensation
- Part-time (approximately 10–20 hours per week, depending on church needs).
- Regular Sunday morning presence required.
- Flexible weekday hours for planning, volunteer coordination, and ministry preparation.
- Compensation will be $1,000 per month
