Forcey Bible Church is seeking a Children's Ministry Coordinator who has a heart for seeing children come to know and grow in Jesus Christ. This individual will serve children and their families while helping equip and support volunteers who faithfully minister to them.
The Children's Ministry Coordinator will provide leadership for ministries serving children from birth through 5th grade, working in collaboration with the pastoral staff to support the overall vision and goals of the church. This role involves recruiting and equipping volunteer workers, coordinating ministry schedules, organizing resources, communicating effectively with volunteers, parents, and church staff, and teaching within the children's ministry as needed.
This position plays a key role in fostering a safe, engaging, and Christ-centered environment where children can grow in their understanding of God's Word and their relationship with Jesus.
Job Description
• Ensure all programs are adequately staffed with ministry workers who are thoughtfully recruited, equipped for effectiveness in their role, and properly vetted and trained for a thoroughly safe ministry environment. • Oversee an effective teaching ministry to children, both through the equipping of ministry workers and personal involvement in the ministry. • Ensure gospel clarity and sound Bible teaching, which is consistent with the FBC Articles of Faith, throughout all programs. • Ensure a thoroughly safe ministry environment by implementing effective policies in keeping with best practice. • Get to know the parents of the children in the ministry and have a sense of their journey and family needs. • Develop suitable opportunities for children to get involved in the life of the church. • Partner with church leadership in the equipping ministry of parents and families. • Maintain an updated database of child and parent information. • Connect parents to opportunities for their own engagement within the ministry, according to their gifts. • Represent the FBC children's ministries across the FBC community. • Serve as a support and resource to community-based ministries (Forcey Christian School and 360, Forcey Day Camp, MDO, etc.)
