Job Overview
Riverside Community Church (RCC) is seeking a Church Administrator to steward the day-to-day administrative operations of the church in service of its mission and people. This role exists to ensure organizational clarity, operational excellence, and faithful support of the church's ministries and leaders.
The Church Administrator partners closely with the Lead Pastor and Executive Team to oversee financial processes, staff operations, communications, facilities, and internal systems. Through thoughtful coordination, attention to detail, and Christlike character, this role enables ministry leaders and staff to focus on disciple-making, pastoral care, and gospel presence in the community.
This position is ideal for a spiritually grounded administrator who values both structure and service, and who finds joy in helping the church function smoothly, wisely, and with integrity.

Position Summary
The Church Administrator oversees and executes the day-to-day administrative operations of Riverside Community Church (RCC), ensuring organizational effectiveness across financial processes, human resources, communications, facilities, and staff coordination. Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations

Coordinate financial workflows in partnership with the Finance Deacon and outsourced bookkeeping services

Process weekly giving, manage online giving platforms, and maintain accurate financial records

Assist staff and ministry leaders with budget tracking and financial policies

Provide administrative support to the Finance Team and annual budgeting process
Communications Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for external communication (phone, email, app inquiries)

Produce and distribute weekly church-wide communications

Maintain the master church calendar and assist with workflows in church management software

Manage RCC's social media presence in alignment with church vision and tone
Staff Operations & Team Coordination

Coordinate internal staff communication tools and shared systems

Schedule and facilitate staff meetings and planning sessions

Support ministry leaders in executing vision, goals, and projects

Assist with staff team-building and organizational rhythms
Human Resources Support

Assist with onboarding new staff and maintaining personnel records

Support payroll processing and benefits administration

Track staff evaluations and reviews

Serve as a point of contact for routine HR questions while maintaining confidentiality
Office & Facilities Management

Oversee office organization, supplies, and equipment

Coordinate facility use, cleaning services, and building needs

Liaise with Buildings & Grounds teams and external contractors as needed
Spiritual & Character Expectations

Demonstrate a growing Christian faith marked by integrity, humility, and spiritual discipline

Uphold the behavioral and doctrinal standards of Scripture, RCC bylaws, and the Employee Handbook

Participate in staff meetings and leadership rhythms of the church
Qualifications
Required

Experience in administrative or office management

Strong organizational, communication, and project-management skills

Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and management software

Ability to manage confidential information with wisdom and discretion
Preferred

Experience in church or nonprofit administration

Familiarity with tools such as Planning Center, Mailchimp, or Canva

Experience supporting senior leadership and multi-department coordination
