Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Assistant to support the operations of The Counseling Center at RTS. This multi-faceted role includes managing billing, handling receptionist schedules, and supporting the smooth operation of the clinic. The clinical assistant also serves as a supportive resource person for student counselors who practice in the Counseling Center. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the clinical mental health field, be skilled in office management, customer service, and administrative duties, and have a passion for contributing to a welcoming, efficient environment for both clients, students, and staff.

Position Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or higher preferred. • At least 1 year of experience in administrative or assistant roles, preferably in a healthcare or counseling setting. • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with excellent attention to detail. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and office management software. • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain HIPAA compliance. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both in person and over the phone. • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks. • A positive attitude, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work as part of a team. • An ability and willingness to be proactive and take initiative for the benefit of the Center, and its clients, staff, and students.

The Counseling Center at RTS provides individual, couples, children, and family counseling services to the Jackson metro area. We are one of the few clinics in the Jackson area to offer counseling at reduced rates, providing opportunity for people to receive counseling when it would otherwise be difficult to afford. The Center is fully staffed by advanced graduate student counselors completing their clinical internship at Reformed Theological Seminary's Master of Arts in Counseling Program.
