Part-Time College PastorAsian American Baptist Church – Richardson, TX

Asian American Baptist Church (AABC), located directly across the road from the University of Texas at Dallas, is seeking a part-time College Pastor to disciple and shepherd college students and young adults. UTD has a large Asian student population (about one-third of the campus), making this a strategic ministry field.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with college students and young adults and provide pastoral care.
• Lead a weekly gathering or Bible study.
• Mentor and equip students for spiritual growth and service.
• Encourage and train students to serve in various church ministries.
• Coordinate outreach and connections with UTD students.
• Collaborate with pastoral staff and report to the Lead Pastor.

Qualifications

• Clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ.
• Full agreement with our doctrinal statement: www.aabcdallas.org/beliefs
• Ability to teach Scripture faithfully and relationally.
• Heart for discipleship and evangelism among college students and young adults.
• Understanding of Asian American culture or willingness to learn.
• MDiv or equivalent theological education3+ years of experience working on church staff (Internships are accepted)
  • MDiv/Master's students are welcome to apply, possibly for an internship position ($1000/month)
