Position Summary
The Content Writer & Digital Marketer is responsible for developing, creating, and managing Seminario Reformado Latinoamericano's U.S. media presence to increase ministry awareness and strengthen engagement with supporters, churches, and potential donors by communicating the ministry’s mission to train Spanish-speaking pastors and church leaders. This role blends skilled writing, technical production, and digital marketing to produce the seminary's monthly newsletter, manage social media presence, produce fundraising campaigns, and create video and podcast content that captures faculty insights, ministry community involvement, and mission impact. The ideal candidate combines strong writing ability with hands-on technical skills in interviewing, recording, and editing online content through a professionally developed digital marketing strategy.

Essential Functions
Content Writing
· Research, write, and edit articles for the monthly newsletter and other ministry publications.
· Craft engaging, high-quality content for the website, social media, and marketing materials.
· Develop storylines and narratives around faculty highlights, student testimonies, alumni updates, and ministry initiatives through articles, graphics, reels, and videos.
· Write persuasive copy for fundraising campaigns, event promotion, and donor communications.
· Edit and proofread all content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency with the seminary's voice.
· Maintain a content calendar and adhere to publishing deadlines.
Interviewing, Video & Podcast Production
· Conduct video and audio interviews with professors and supporters to gather stories and content.
· Record and edit interviews, short-form videos, and podcast episodes for use on social media platforms and YouTube.
· Manage the full production workflow from raw footage/audio to finished, published content.
Digital Marketing & Social Media
· Develop and execute social media content and campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and other relevant platforms.
· Schedule and publish posts using social media management tools.
· Monitor comments and messages, and engage with the online community in a manner consistent with the seminary's mission and tone.
· Assist with website updates and content management to ensure social media and website remain aligned and up to date.
· Support email marketing and newsletter distribution through platforms such as Mailchimp or SendGrid.
· Optimize content for SEO and audience growth across web and social channels.
· Track and report monthly on social media and content performance (growth, engagement, reach), and recommend strategy improvements based on data.
Qualifications
Required
· Bachelor’s degree, preferably in English, communications, or other related fields
· Strong writing and verbal communication skills in English; excellent editing and proofreading ability.
· 1–3+ years of experience in content writing, social media management, or digital marketing (nonprofit, ministry, or educational settings a plus).
· Skilled knowledge of video editing and audio/podcast recording and editing software.
· Proficiency with Canva and major social media platforms and scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite, or similar).
· High-level understanding of SEO and social media analytics tools and their application.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
· Portfolio of published writing or content samples.
Preferred
· Spanish language familiarity is helpful.
· Experience with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, SendGrid, or similar).
· Knowledge of Christian ministry, theological education, or nonprofit fundraising.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
· Timely, consistent production of newsletters, articles, videos, and podcast episodes.
· Growth in social media followers, engagement rate, and website traffic from social channels.
· Increased donor engagement and fundraising campaign performance.
· Increased event/conference registrations attributable to content and promotion.
· Monthly performance reporting delivered on schedule with actionable recommendations.
