Arise Church is a gospel-centered church in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, seeking a Director of Connection & Care to help us build a culture of discipleship, hospitality, and mission.
We are a church of approximately 120 people and are part of the Alliance of Reformed Churches. Our desire is to see people love Jesus, grow in gospel community, worship wholeheartedly, and live as missionaries in their everyday lives.
Our Lead Pastor's primary strengths are teaching, worship, and vision-casting. We are looking for someone who can work alongside him to help care for our congregation, strengthen connections within the church, and assist in implementing ministry plans that move our mission forward.
The ideal candidate will have strong administrative and organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a heart for hospitality. This person will help oversee guest follow-up, member care, Life Group development, volunteer teams, and ministry systems that help people move from attending church to becoming engaged disciples.
This role is expected to be 25–30 hours per week, with some flexibility depending on the candidate's gifts and availability. Opportunities to preach occasionally may also be available.

Arise Church is currently looking for a Director of Connection & Care.
We are located in Sioux Falls, SD which is a metro area of over 250,000 people. We are a church of approximately 120 people and are part of the Alliance of Reformed Churches (ARC). We base our missional statement around Love, Grow, Worship, Grow. We are a gospel centered church with a heart for disciple making and are looking for like minded people to further God's mission.
We currently have a lead pastor on staff who has strengths in Worship and Teaching. We want to further our church and God's Kingdom by adding someone to compliment him and look to work side by side in a way that will glorify the Kingdom. This is a new role for our church and there is some flexibility on the role but here are some key things we would like to find:
- Ministry Plan Implementation
- Strong Administrative Skills, Organization, Process Driven
- Strong Communication Skills- Timely, Consistent, Warm
- Team building within the Church with our Ministry Teams of Love, Grow, Worship Grow
- Detail Orientated
- Strong in Hospitality and Connection with Guests and Current Members- Not only on Sunday, but during the week
- Oversee our Life Groups within the Church focusing on Leadership Development and Identify Gaps in this
- *Option to preach as well 5-10 times a year
We realize that not every applicant will check every box. This role could be flexible on hours but will most likely require at least 25-30 hours a week. We are letting God lead us in this path and are looking for someone with strong ministry skills on the administrative side and implementing Ministry Plan and who has a heart to be connecting with the people of our city and our congregation.
