Job Description:
This is an exciting, enriching, & evolving role where no 2 days will be the same. The primary area of responsibility is to build our Families ministry by creating a safe, engaging, and spiritually edifying environment for children & their families. The second area of responsibility is adaptable & revolves around your particular gifts & experiences, including but not limited to communication, discipleship, event planning, & administration.
Families Responsibilities
- Plan Youth & Children's (Y&C) programming & coordinate volunteers for Sundays
- Cultivate a church-wide culture of family discipleship
- Plan & coordinate Y&C activities throughout the month (ie. Youth hang-outs, Parents Night Outs, extra worship services, etc)
- Identify & engage with one community in Smyrna for the sake of evangelism & discipleship
Programs Responsibilities (As determined by Director & Pastor)
- Coordinate volunteers & teams
- Manage social media account
- Lead Groups (Community &/or Discipleship)
- Event planning for socials, outreaches, & service opportunities
- Meet with pastor & staff weekly for personal, professional, & spiritual development
- Other duties as assigned
Position Qualifications:
The right candidate will exemplify a life of a mature & maturing believer of Jesus Christ, affirm the "Essentials of the Faith" according to the EPC, and align with & embody the core values of Water Stone Church.
