Position SummaryCreate and execute a written development plan to increase giving towards the church's Legacy Fund andother giving campaigns (including but not limited to Palmetto Christian Academy (PCA)'s annual fund), aswell as foster a culture of generosity among the church's members both towards the tithe and "above andbeyond" the tithe.Roles and Responsibilities• Develop, recommend, and execute (where applicable) strategies for fostering a culture of Biblicalgenerosity and stewardship• Identify, engage, and cultivate relationships with potential major donors, PCA alumni, church families,and PCA parents to help connect where God might be leading them to the opportunities that existwithin the church and school• Organize and lead donor events and campaigns to increase awareness and involvement in the LegacyFund• Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for growing and sustaining the Legacy Fund includingthe establishment of measurable goals and objectives• Collaborate with the Baptist Foundation of South Carolina to ensure proper investment of the LegacyFund• Lead the execution of all financial campaigns ensuring they are well-coordinated and successfullyexecuted• Collaborate proactively with the communications department to plan direct mail, digital marketing, andother communication/marketing strategies to promote giving• Where appropriate, identify, seek, and manage other contribution streams (i.e., grants, sponsorships,etc.)• Provide training as needed to volunteers on fundraising techniques and strategies• Provide regular reports and updates to key reports on a quarterly basis• Develop and maintain an understanding of the culture and strategic direction of the church and schoolQualifications and Requirements• Affirm East Cooper Baptist Church's Statement of Faith and commit to exhibit a lifestyle that isconsistent (required)• Willing to become a member of East Cooper Baptist Church (required)• A demonstrated missional perspective for generosity and stewardship within the church (required)• Bachelor's Degree in a related field such as development, marketing, public relations, and/orcommunications (desired)• 5-10 years of direct fundraising experience with larger gifts (desired)• Experience in supervising and training others• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Strategic thinker who is a creative problem solver• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituents• Excellent organizational and time management skills in working independently, prioritizing workflow,and managing resources• Ability to manage and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information• Proficiency in Google Suite• Knowledge of relevant laws/regulations, as well as knowledge of charitable giving techniques andoptions• Ability to travel locally as necessary• Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary
