Director of Middle School Ministries

Job Overview

The Director of Middle School Ministries at Faith Bible Church will be a servant leader with a heart for God's work through the local church and a genuine love for people. This person will work together with the Student staff, parents of students, a team of volunteers and the broader church staff to make and mature disciples of Jesus Christ.

Job Description

Primary Expectations

• Lead Student Ministry Staff with all aspects of Middle School Ministry.
• Maintain relationships with FBC middle school students and their families.
• Disciple Middle School students and Wednesday night Middle School student leaders.
• Coordinate and lead missions and evangelism opportunities for students and families.
• Help recruit adult leaders, calling them to invest in students and the student ministry.
• Direct and teach a midweek program for middle students.
• Help direct a Sunday morning program for middle and high school students.
• Help coordinate and promote student involvement in special events.
• Plan, lead, and execute Middle School Summer Camp.
• Encourage student involvement in the missions and outreach initiatives in our church.
• Work with the staff and elders in accomplishing ministry goals and objectives.
• Attend All Staff and Ministry/Support Staff meetings.

Qualifications

• A believer in Jesus Christ who has committed to living their life for the glory of God.
• An individual who can agree with our church's core values and statement of faith.
• A Bachelor's degree and experience in student ministries and missions.
• Proficient with email, basic computing, and various forms of social media.

Ministry and Professional Development

• Continuing professional growth and development is expected. Making the Elders and Executive Pastor of Equipping aware of ministry or educational goals and pursuits and what, if any, support is needed from the church.
• If desired, seek and submit to qualifications for ordainment by Faith Bible Church.

Accountability

• This position functions under the oversight of the Elder Board and direct supervision of the Student Ministries Pastor and the Executive Pastor of Equipping.
