CANDIDATE PROFILE
● Four-year college degree preferred (Audio Engineering, Music Production, Broadcast, or related field)● 5+ years of hands-on experience in live production environments (church, concert, or broadcast)● Demonstrated ability to lead teams and build systems at a high level● Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure● Theological alignment with our Statement of Basic Beliefs● Philosophical alignment with our Vision, Mission, and Core Values● Team player with a strong work ethic and ownership mentality● Possesses humility, attention to detail, and a desire to grow as a leader and Christian
SKILLS REQUIRED
● High-level competency in live audio production (FOH mixing, gain structure, system tuning)● Experience with professional digital consoles (e.g., Allen & Heath, Yamaha, DiGiCo)● Strong understanding of signal flow, system design, and troubleshooting● Experience with wireless RF coordination and troubleshooting● Familiarity with livestream systems (ProPresenter, OBS, vMix, or equivalent)● Working knowledge of lighting systems and stage design● Ability to document systems, build workflows, and implement standard operating procedures● Strong organizational and scheduling skills● Ability to recruit, train, and develop volunteer teams
RESPONSIBILITIES | Director of Production & Technology
Sunday Production Leadership (Primary Focus)
- Lead and oversee all audio, visual, and technical execution for Sunday services
- Mix front-of-house audio or oversee FOH engineers to ensure excellence
- Manage wireless systems and RF coordination
- Oversee livestream production and broadcast mix
- Ensure services are clear, distraction-free, and executed with consistency
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and decisively
Systems Ownership & Technical Excellence
- Own and manage all production systems (audio, lighting, video, livestream)
- Maintain documented signal flow, console scenes, and SOPs
- Build redundancy and backup systems to ensure reliability
- Lead future upgrades and long-term production strategy
- Ensure systems are scalable for continued church growth
Volunteer Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, train, and develop volunteer A/V teams
- Build clear pathways for training, growth, and increasing responsibility
- Schedule all Sunday production roles (audio, lighting, slides, livestream)
- Cultivate a culture of excellence, ownership, and attention to detail
Setup & Teardown Oversight
- Oversee all production-related setup and teardown logistics
- Build efficient, repeatable systems for portable or multi-use environments
- Train teams to execute with speed, clarity, and consistency
Weekday Production & Events
- Provide technical leadership for college ministry, outreach events, funerals, and special services
- Be available, within reason, for key events requiring production oversight
Content Distribution & Support
- Oversee sermon uploads (podcast, website, and digital platforms)
- Manage livestream archiving and distribution
- Ensure consistency and timeliness of all digital content
Creative Support (Secondary Role)
- Support design and execution of sermon series graphics and event visuals as needed
- Assist with maintaining visual consistency across screens and environments
- Collaborate with staff on creative elements that enhance (not distract from) the worship environment
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
● Experience leading production in a growing church (500–1,000+)● Experience building and managing volunteer teams● Familiarity with portable or multi-venue church setups● Experience with Dante or networked audio systems
EXPECTATIONS & EMPLOYMENT
● Reports directly to Operations Director, under supervision of pastors● Full-time (40+ hours per week), including consistent Sunday responsibilities● Salary = $80,000–$100,000 + Medical and Dental Benefits
