Position Qualifications:
Primary Responsibilities
- Weekly Meetings & Teaching: Plan, coordinate, and teach Sunday/Wednesday Night School Youth Groups, creating a welcoming environment centered on Scripture, friendship, and inter-generational connection.
- Identify, recruit, train, and support volunteer leaders for weekly programs and discipleship groups.
- Form a missional ministry: students are equipped to invite friends regularly, bridges are built into schools, and events planned for the spiritually curious.
- Foster an intentional and welcoming Sunday culture for students where they connect in the sanctuary, grow in Bible study, and serve the congregation.
Student Discipleship & Pastoral Care
- Maintain a sustainable rhythm that allows personal student engagement; keep relational discipleship a priority.
- Design and scale a sustainable youth discipleship pathway (6th-12th); students should be growing in Faith (Truth), Hope (Desire), and Love (Action).
- Coordinate with children's ministry to create overlap and a pathway for future youth group students.
- Maintain regular, intentional contact with students for encouragement, prayer, and spiritual growth, including attending concerts, games, etc.

Cross Creek Church (PCA) is a congregation of 200 in the growing neighborhood of Fruit Cove and St. Johns just outside of Jacksonville, FL. The Student Ministry is currently on a growth trajectory, and the new Director will step in at an important and high-impact moment. There is a huge potential for the right leader to cultivate a community of students in the heart of St. John's. There are 2 high schools and 4 middle schools within 10 miles of the church (one of them only ½ mile down the street). We are seeking someone who is either a recent college graduate or someone finishing an internship (RUF, CRU, Navs, Campus Outreach, etc.) who is curious about vocational ministry and the pursuit of seminary.
