Job Overview
The Director of Youth and Media (DYM) serves as a key ministry leader who partners closely with the Senior Pastor and Elders to advance the mission and vision of the church. This role provides leadership and oversight for Student Ministries (grades 6–12) and the church's media and communications efforts. The DYM is responsible for cultivating a Christ-centered student ministry by discipling students, equipping volunteers, supporting parents, and helping students become active participants in the life and mission of the church.
In addition, the DYM oversees the church's communication strategy and media presence, including digital communications, social media, website content, livestreaming, podcasts, and promotional resources. Through both ministries, the DYM seeks to make disciples who know Christ, grow in Christ, and help reach St. Louis and beyond with the good news of Jesus Christ. This position reports directly to the Senior Pastor.

Primary Responsibilities
Youth Ministry
- Lead and oversee the church's Student Ministry (grades 6–12), providing vision, direction, and alignment with the mission of the church.
- Serve as the primary teacher and discipleship leader, faithfully teaching God's Word and fostering spiritual growth among students.
- Recruit, train, equip, and shepherd volunteers and small group leaders to effectively disciple students.
- Partner with parents in the discipleship of their children, providing encouragement, communication, and resources.
- Cultivate a culture of discipleship in which students are growing in Christ, building meaningful relationships, and living out their faith.
- Develop pathways for students to connect with the broader church, including worship, membership, service, and leadership opportunities.
- Plan and oversee student ministry events, camps, retreats, and outreach opportunities that support discipleship and community.
Media & Communications
- Lead and oversee the church's media and communications ministry.
- Manage the church's digital presence through the website, social media platforms, podcasts, email communications, and other online resources.
- Create and coordinate content that promotes church ministries, events, outreach efforts, and discipleship opportunities.
- Coordinate and oversee videography, video editing, and podcast production
- Produce or oversee media resources, including graphics, and promotional videos for worship services and special events.
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers serving in media and communications ministries.
- Plan and coordinate media elements for Easter, Christmas, and other special worship gatherings in collaboration with pastoral staff and volunteers.
- Ensure all communication and media efforts effectively support the church's mission, vision, and ministry objectives.
Qualifications
- Meets the character qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:1–7 and Titus 1:6–9
- Minimum of 3 years of vocational ministry experience (5 preferred)
- Experience leading in youth ministry
- Young adult and small group ministry experience strongly preferred
- Maintains spiritual health through prayer, the study of Scripture, and biblical fellowship
