Position Summary
The Executive Director (ED) serves as the chief operational and administrative leader of Grace New Hope. This role exists to free the Lead Pastor to focus on spiritual leadership, teaching, and vision, while ensuring the church operates with excellence, integrity, and alignment with its mission.
The ED provides leadership across operations, finance, human resources, and strategic planning—developing healthy systems and strong teams that support sustainable ministry growth and help people experience life through Jesus every day. The Executive Director is the day-to-day leader of church staff and operations, setting culture, providing clarity, and ensuring effective execution.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Leadership & Alignment
- Partner closely with the Lead Pastor to translate vision into actionable strategies and measurable goals.
- Ensure all operational systems align with the church's mission, values, and ministry priorities.
- Provide regular updates and insights to the Lead Pastor and Elder Board regarding progress, challenges, and opportunities.
2. Staff Leadership & Human Resources
- Lead, supervise, and develop administrative and operational staff, fostering a culture of unity, collaboration, accountability, and growth.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, and staff development.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and best HR practices.
- Develop and maintain clear policies and procedures that support healthy staff relationships and organizational clarity.
3. Finance & Stewardship
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and vendor relationships.
- Ensure transparent, accurate, and timely financial reporting for the Lead Pastor, Elder Board, and congregation.
- Partner with finance teams and ministry leaders to maximize stewardship and ministry impact.
4. Operations Management
- Direct daily operations including facilities, IT systems, and administrative infrastructure.
- Implement and refine efficient processes that enhance ministry effectiveness and sustainability.
- Oversee risk management, insurance, legal compliance, and operational safeguards with diligence and integrity.
5. Strategic Growth Support
- Collaborate with the Lead Pastor to plan and execute initiatives that support growth, such as new ministries, additional services, or future campuses.
- Anticipate organizational needs and recommend scalable solutions that support long-term health and expansion.
Qualifications
Spiritual
- A growing, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and clear alignment with Grace New Hope's mission and values.
- Demonstrates integrity, humility, wisdom, and servant leadership.
Professional
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Organizational Leadership, or a related field (Master's degree preferred), or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in operations, finance, HR, or administration; church or nonprofit experience strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, and guide organizations through growth and change.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
