Primary Objective

Assist the Senior Pastor in strategic leadership and oversight to the church's operations, ensuring alignment with the church's mission and vision. This role involves managing staff and ministry leaders, overseeing administrative functions, and supporting the Senior Pastor in executing the church's ministry goals.

Qualifications

• Acknowledge Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior, demonstrating personal maturity and godliness, growing in conformity to the image of Christ
• Prefer ordination and a post-graduate degree in theological studies and five years of pastoral experience
• Possess proven abilities in leadership, effective decision making, and administration
• Exhibit godly leadership character traits as detailed in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1
• Possess an energetic commitment to excellence in ministry, balanced by attention to continued personal spiritual development, family needs, and times of refreshing

Job Description

1. Leadership and Management

• Provide leadership to church staff and ministry leaders, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment, and offering opportunities for staff training and development.
• Oversee the development and implementation of church policies and procedures.
• Support the Senior Pastor and board in strategic planning and decision-making.
• Attend Elder Board meetings as an ex officio member.

1. Operational Oversight

• Manage the church's day-to-day operations, including finance, human resources, and facilities.
• Assist in the oversight of the various administrative committees of the church (Finance, Facilities, Outreach, Building, etc.)
• Coordinate the church's annual budget, along with the Finance Committee, ensuring financial health and accountability.

1. Ministry Support

• Provide leadership to ministry leaders to enhance the effectiveness and collaboration of church programs.
• Assist in the planning and execution of church events and programs.
• Work with Senior Pastor to develop and implement new areas of ministry.
• Ideally ordained with a post graduate degree in theological studies in order to serve in the preaching rotation with the Senior Pastor and perform weddings and funerals as well as counseling and visitation.
