Christ Community Church is seeking a spiritually mature, visionary, and administratively gifted Executive Pastor of Ministry to provide strategic and tactical leadership for our ministry staff and programs. This role serves as both a key member of the Executive Pastor Team and a member of the Elder Board, working closely with the Lead Pastor to ensure alignment, health, and effectiveness across all ministries.
The Executive Pastor of Ministry will shepherd and lead pastors and directors, oversee ministry operations, champion staff development, and help implement the vision established by the Elder Board. The ideal candidate is a proven team builder with experience in larger church settings (500+), strong organizational leadership skills, and a heart for shepherding both leaders and congregation members.

Reporting Structure
- Reports to the Elder Board (as a member and elder)
- Collaborates closely with the Lead Pastor as part of the Executive Pastor Team
- Supervises all ministry pastors and directors
Primary Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Ensure the effective day-to-day leadership and coordination of ministry staff
- Implement the vision and direction of the Elder Board
- Meet regularly with the Lead Pastor and Executive Pastor Team for vision alignment and collaboration
- Advise the Elders regarding ministry progress, challenges, and opportunities
- Represent Christ Community Church within the local community and among sister churches
Staff Leadership & Development
- Supervise and coach all ministry pastors and directors
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings for encouragement, review, and leadership development
- Lead regular staff meetings and weekly staff chapels
- Plan and facilitate staff retreats and professional development initiatives
- Guide staffing decisions (hiring and dismissal), subject to Elder approval
- Formulate and advocate for ministry budgets and compensation recommendations
- Lead staff in operating within the approved annual budget
Ministry Oversight
- Develop and implement a robust Deacon ministry (men and women serving in key leadership roles)
- Organize and oversee a Deacon Fund Team for benevolence distribution
- Oversee (or appoint qualified leaders to oversee):
- Equipping Classes
- Community Groups
- Support Groups (e.g., Divorce Care, Grief Share, Stephen Ministry)
Pastoral Responsibilities
- Model a Christ-centered life and shepherd the staff and congregation
- Participate in pastoral care rotation (hospital visits, crisis response, benevolence requests, etc.)
- Assist with weddings and funerals as needed
- Provide biblical counseling as needs arise
- Teach regularly as opportunity allows
- Participate in a Community Group
Qualifications
Educational & Experience Requirements
- Master of Divinity (or equivalent seminary degree)
- Minimum 5 years of successful ministry experience, preferably in a church of 500+
- Demonstrated success in team leadership and ministry coordination
- Strong administrative and organizational abilities
- Proven experience mentoring, discipling, and developing leaders
Spiritual & Character Qualifications
- Meets the biblical qualifications of an elder (1 Timothy 3; Titus 1)
- Demonstrates spiritual fruit, emotional health, and relational maturity
- Affirms and will continue to endorse the Constitution and Doctrinal Statement of Christ Community Church
- Senses a clear calling to pastoral ministry with the support of his family
- Able to work collaboratively under the leadership of the Elder Board and alongside the Lead Pastor
