Full-time Position: Head Administrator
Principal Functions:
The Head Administrator serves as the chief administrative officer of First Baptist Academy (FBA). Reporting to the Executive Pastor, he/she is also responsible to the FBA Committee for overseeing all aspects of the academy's operations, including academic and spiritual leadership, financial management and stewardship, staff and faculty supervision, and program administration. The Head Administrator will champion the mission of FBA, ensuring a safe, Christ-centered educational environment for all students.
Training and Experience:
Training: The Head Administrator must have a degree in education and a valid Texas teaching or principal certification or Association of Christian Schools (ACSI) certification. It is desirable for he/she to have a master's degree in Christian School Administration or a master's degree in education.
Experience: The Head Administrator should have significant administrative and/or teaching experience in Christian education with a knowledge of Christian curricula. He/she must have leadership experience in an administrative capacity, such as principal, school board, vice-principal, or educational supervisor.
Personal Characteristics:
1. Be a member of First Baptist Church of Universal City or willing to become one.
2. Be a person of spiritual maturity who is committed to the service of Jesus Christ through Christian education. He/she must have the spiritual understanding and biblical knowledge to counsel students, teachers and parents.
3. Be willing to work as a member of the pastor's staff, accepting assigned responsibilities under his supervision.
4. Be a role model in attitude, speech and actions which demonstrate a consistent daily walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.
5. Be supportive of all school policies and accept responsibility for their outcome.
6. Be an effective communicator who builds positive relationships with students, their parents, fellow colleagues, FBA Committee members, members of the community and other church members.
7. Be a loving, understanding and respectful supporter of children.
8. Be emotionally mature and controlled, organized, flexible and consistent; should be cooperative and open-minded, enthusiastic and demonstrate a good sense of humor.
9. Be comfortable and effective when speaking before groups.
10. Be a good steward of his/her time as well as a tither to God's kingdom.
Compensation:
1. Salary: $75,000-$85,000, plus benefits.
Paid holidays and vacation.Academy Tuition Benefit: Full tuition for children of the Head Administrator (Administrator is responsible for the payment of all registration fees, book fees, activity fees and uniforms).

First Baptist Academy ministers to over 350 students – 3 years old through 12th grade. The Academy's mission is to educate students for time and eternity by presenting God's truth in all areas of education and character development.
