Job Description:
Sole pastor position. Lead worship. Direct adult education through Bible studies, Sunday School and special programs. Represent the church in seasonal community services at Easter and Christmas. Plan and lead church growth initiatives. This is a "church plant, within a church."
Position Qualifications:
Candidates seeking the position should have:
- a genuine love of the Lord Jesus Christ;
- a divinity degree;
- an active membership in a conservative reformed Christian church;
- a steadfast commitment to the doctrines of the Westminster standards;
- a familiarity with The Book of Church Order, and if not currently ordained in the PCA, should be prepared to stand for ordination in the Presbyterian Church in America;
- theological and biblical competence, able to rightly divide the Word;
- the necessary administrative skills for pastoral ministry;
- strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to connect with a diverse range of individuals;
- compassionate and empathetic leadership traits with a dedication to equipping the saints.

Community Presbyterian Church in North Marion County Florida is located in McIntosh, Florida. Campus is located on Christian's Hill overlooking Lake Orange just 20 miles south of the University of Florida. Facilities consist of a worship center, constructed in 1989, and a fellowship hall with kitchen and pastor's study. We are a church of approximately 25 regular attendees, with a strong core of mature believers, several empty-nester families, mostly retired. While our size has declined from earlier years, our sense of purpose and unity has grown. We are located in a desirable and growing area of Marion County, providing meaningful long-term opportunity for outreach and congregational growth.
