Southern Hills Baptist Church has been led under primarily reformed doctrine for the past 15 years, and while we are not confessional at this time, we are eager to be led according to God’s word and grow in that area. We are accustomed to expository preaching and want to continue in that pattern, as it has been a great blessing and benefit to us. We are a congregation of about 30 members, consisting of many older couples and widows, as well as a few young families. We have a majority of believers young in the faith from varied backgrounds. Being located in a low-income, military town offers unique opportunities and challenges for evangelism and outreach which our congregation continues to make efforts towards.
We are a church in need of clear and compassionate leadership that has maturity to see the wide range of situations, as well as the faithfulness and wisdom to bring the truth of God’s word in a clear way instructive for growth and change. We pray to find a man who is committed to God’s glory and the good of His people through obedience to His Word.
