Apartment Life is seeking a Tech Systems Developer with strong experience in HubSpot to help build and maintain efficient, scalable, and sustainable technology systems. This position will manage, optimize, and expand their HubSpot environment and its integrations across multiple platforms.

The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented problem solver who thrives on process improvement and system reliability. As part of the Tech Systems team, this developer will play a key role in helping Apartment Life use technology as a tool for ministry impact—serving their staff, coordinators, and partners with excellence while aligning with their faith-based mission.

IMPORTANT DETAILS

• This position is a full-time (40 hours) position.
• 3+ years of professional experience with HubSpot (admin, operations, or development).
• Knowledge of databases, SQL, and data structures.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Helpdesk Excellence – Provide excellent technical support by addressing HubSpot and other help desk requests in a timely, warm, and professional manner. Troubleshoot and resolve issues meticulously, ensuring minimal user downtime. Escalate or collaborate as needed, but maintain ownership until final resolution. Contribute to documentation and process improvements that enhance the overall user support experience.
2. Develop & Enhance HubSpot Features and Integrations – Build, test, and deploy new features, automations, and system improvements within HubSpot and its connected systems as prioritized by the VP, Tech Systems. Manage existing native and API-based integrations to ensure data accuracy and reliability between HubSpot and platforms such as Mapsly, Greenhouse, Qwilr, and Plant an App. Develop clean, reusable components and test changes in sandboxes before going live. Build and refine HubSpot reports and dashboards that help teams turn data into actionable insight.
3. Maintain System Stability and Continuous Improvement – Support regular updates, patches, and data syncs to keep systems reliable, secure, and error-free. When sync issues occur between HubSpot and other systems (e.g., Plant an App), trace, troubleshoot, and resolve them efficiently. Approach systems holistically as a systems thinker who understands how data, tools, and people connect. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, workflows, and automations to improve user experience. Document technical solutions and processes to strengthen the team's shared knowledge base.
4. Monitor and Implement HubSpot Advancements – Stay current with HubSpot product updates, new features, and best practices. Evaluate emerging capabilities and recommend enhancements that will add value, improve efficiency, and strengthen system alignment with organizational goals. Translate HubSpot innovations into practical, mission-driven solutions for Apartment Life. Implement HubSpot's AI tools, including Breeze AI Agents and related integrations, to enhance automation, reporting, and cross-system collaboration.
5. Collaborate with Tech Leadership – Partner closely with the VP of Tech Systems to clarify requirements, assess feasibility, and ensure development priorities align with organizational strategy. Provide input on opportunities for innovation within HubSpot and related systems. Support cross-training efforts and serve as backup for other team members as needed to maintain team flexibility and continuity.
