Interim Worship Leader

Lakeside Baptist Church in Canton, TX is seeking an interim worship leader. Lakeside's heart is to be a disciple-making church in all that we do, especially in our worship services. Because of this, the interim worship leader must have a heart for discipleship, understanding that every aspect of our Sunday morning service must shape us to be worshippers of God in every aspect of our lives. Lakeside currently averages 200-250 in weekly attendance and has one blended service with contemporary praise and worship songs, as well as traditional hymns.

The following are the responsibilities for this position:

• Lead the Sunday morning worship service. This would include working with the lead pastor to choose songs for the worship service, and working with the sound and media team to prepare A/V.

• Lead rehearsal before worship service. Rehearsal takes place Sunday mornings at 8 AM to ensure the team can still attend Sunday School at 9.

• Schedule team members each week and recruit new volunteers.

We would also value your input and instruction related to our sound system and media presentation. Our sound and media team are great learners and they desire to continually improve.

This is a paid position, and could turn into a permanent position (part-time or full-time dependant on candidate's needs) if candidate fits well with our church. You can find out more about our church at lakesidecanton.com.

If you would like to apply, please send a resume with references, as well as a link to a recent service you have led (can be a Sunday worship service or any other setting) to [email protected].
