Church Revitalization Intern (1–2 Year Residency)Lake Hills Baptist Church – Bellevue, Washington

Lake Hills Baptist Church in Bellevue, WA is seeking a mission-minded ministry intern or resident who desires hands-on experience in church revitalization, discipleship, and gospel ministry in a diverse urban context.

This is a 1–2 year ministry internship/residency designed for someone sensing a call to ministry who wants real experience serving in a church while receiving mentoring, leadership development, and ministry opportunities.

Bellevue sits in the heart of the Seattle tech corridor, surrounded by global companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, and Meta. Our community is highly diverse, international, and spiritually hungry. We believe God is opening doors for gospel witness among people from every nation, culture, and background.

Just one year ago our church averaged 35–40 in attendance. Today we average 55–60 and growing. In November 2025 our pastor transitioned from bivocational to full-time leadership as we pursue renewed mission and outreach.

We are praying for someone who wants to join the work of reaching Bellevue and beyond with the gospel.

Internship VisionThis internship is designed to give practical experience in:

• Church revitalization
• Disciple-making
• Worship ministry
• Teaching and preaching
• Evangelism and outreach
• Leadership development
• Cross-cultural ministry

The intern will serve alongside the lead pastor and church leaders while gaining hands-on ministry experience and personal mentoring.

Responsibilities (Flexible Based on Gifts)Responsibilities will vary depending on the intern's strengths and calling, but may include:

• Assisting with worship and music ministry
• Helping develop discipleship and small groups
• Participating in community outreach and evangelism
• Assisting with Sunday services and church ministries
• Supporting communication, social media, and digital outreach
• Helping strengthen ministries to young adults and families

The intern will also:

• Teach on Sundays approximately 3 times per year
• Lead or co-lead a small group
• Participate in weekly mentoring with the lead pastor
• Receive leadership and ministry development

Our goal is to help prepare interns for future ministry leadership, church planting, missions, or pastoral ministry.

Candidate QualitiesWe are looking for someone who is:

• A committed follower of Jesus Christ
• Called to gospel ministry and disciple-making
• Mission-minded and passionate about reaching people with the gospel
• A team player who enjoys serving with others
• Humble, teachable, and eager to learn
• Willing to serve in a revitalizing church environment
• Comfortable ministering in a diverse and international community
• Musical ability or worship leadership experience is a plus, but not required.

We are open to shaping the internship around the intern's gifts and calling.
