Job Description

The Lead Pastor of Eastpoint Community Church is responsible for providing spiritual, visionary, and organizational leadership to fulfill the church's mission: guiding people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. This role emphasizes preaching, teaching, discipleship, and equipping the church body for ministry, while fostering a culture of unity, growth, and outreach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Spiritual Leadership:
  • Serve as the primary teaching pastor, delivering biblically sound, engaging sermons.
  • Lead the church in prayer, worship, and the sacraments, including baptism and communion.
  • Model a Christ-centered life, demonstrating spiritual maturity and integrity.
• Vision and Strategy:
  • Cast and articulate the church's vision in alignment with its purpose and values.
  • Collaborate with the Church Management Team to develop and implement strategic goals.
• Leadership and Staff Development:
  • Oversee and support the pastoral team, ministry leaders, and staff, fostering a healthy leadership culture.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and development opportunities for leaders and volunteers.
