Forks Community Church (Easton – Forks Township, Lehigh Valley, PA) is prayerfully seeking a full-time Lead Pastor to shepherd a growing, multicultural Bible Fellowship Church congregation. With an average weekly attendance of approximately 85 across two Sunday services, we are a Christ-centered church committed to sound biblical teaching, authentic relationships, discipleship, and reaching our community for Jesus.

The Lead Pastor will provide spiritual leadership through Spirit-led preaching, pastoral care, equipping believers toward maturity, and guiding the church into the next season of ministry. We are seeking a servant leader who leads by example—unwavering in biblical conviction, gracious in spirit, and humble in approach—someone who speaks the truth in love, models Christlike gentleness, and leads with discernment under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Position Summary

The Lead Pastor serves as the primary shepherd and spiritual leader of Forks Community Church, responsible for preaching and teaching the Word, providing pastoral care, equipping and discipling believers, and leading staff and volunteers with encouragement, accountability, and unity. The Lead Pastor will help set a prayerful direction for spiritual growth, community outreach, and next-generation ministry, while strengthening a culture of authentic relationships and Christ-centered mission.

Key Responsibilities

Preaching & Teaching

• Prepare and preach Spirit-led, Christ-centered, biblically grounded messages each Sunday.

• Uphold sound doctrine and clearly communicate Scripture with conviction and grace.

Shepherding & Pastoral Care

• Provide pastoral care through prayer, visitation, counseling, and follow-up.

• Cultivate a shepherd's heart that prioritizes people over programs and supports the church family through seasons of need.

Leadership & Ministry Development

• Provide prayerful vision and direction for spiritual growth, outreach, and next-generation ministry.

• Equip and disciple believers toward spiritual maturity.

• Foster authentic relationships across generations and cultures; lead in a way that strengthens unity and belonging.

Staff & Volunteer Oversight

• Oversee church staff and volunteers with encouragement, accountability, teamwork, and clear communication.

• Develop leaders and strengthen ministry systems that support healthy church life and sustainable growth.

Administration

• Manage essential administrative responsibilities consistent with leading a healthy, organized church ministry.

• Work collaboratively with church leadership within Bible Fellowship Church governance and doctrinal alignment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of pastoral ministry experience.

• Degree from an accredited seminary.

• Agreement with the Articles of Faith of the Bible Fellowship Church.

• Meets biblical qualifications for pastoral leadership as outlined in Titus 1 and 1 Timothy 3.

Workload Allocation (Approximate)

• 30% Sermon and service preparation

• 30% Leadership and ministry development

• 30% Congregational care (follow-up, counseling, visitation)

• 10% Administration
