Lead Pastor Grace Fellowship Church
Position Summary Grace Fellowship Church is prayerfully seeking a Lead Pastor to shepherd our congregation into its next season of ministry. The Lead Pastor will provide spiritual leadership, biblical preaching, and vision while working collaboratively with church leadership to advance the mission of the church.
This is a unique opportunity for a pastor to step into a church with freedom to bring vision, leadership, and ministry direction while building on an established foundation.
About Grace Fellowship Church Grace Fellowship Church has been serving its community for 27 years. We are a biblically grounded church with a commitment to conservative evangelical theology and the authority of Scripture.
The church gathers in a facility that seats approximately 600 people and is close to being fully paid off (August 2027), providing long-term stability. We are located near Grand Rapids, Michigan, in Comstock Park; offering proximity to a thriving metro area while maintaining a family-oriented, close-knit church culture.

Job Description
Primary Responsibilities Preaching & Teaching • Faithfully preach and teach the Word of God with clarity, conviction, and biblical accuracy • Provide regular Sunday preaching and teaching • Uphold and articulate the church's doctrinal convictions Spiritual Leadership & Vision • Provide spiritual oversight and pastoral leadership to the congregation • Lead the church in prayer, discipleship, and spiritual growth • Help cast and implement vision consistent with Scripture and the church's mission Shepherding & Pastoral Care
• Shepherd the congregation with wisdom, humility, and care • Equip leaders and ministry teams for pastoral care and discipleship • Oversee pastoral care systems alongside church leadership
Leadership & Collaboration • Work collaboratively with elders and ministry leaders • Develop and mentor leaders within the church • Provide oversight and accountability for ministry direction
Qualifications Spiritual & Character Qualifications • A clear calling to pastoral ministry • Demonstrates biblical character as outlined in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1 • Commitment to personal spiritual discipline, prayer, and integrity • Humble, teachable, and servant-hearted leadership style
Theological Qualifications • Strong commitment to conservative evangelical theology • Affirms the authority and sufficiency of Scripture • Alignment with Grace Fellowship Church's statement of faith
Experience & Skills • Proven preaching and teaching ability • Experience in pastoral leadership (preferred) • Ability to lead a congregation with both stability and growth potential • Strong communication and relational skills
