Lead Pastor

Dear Prospective Pastor/Church Planter,

Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We are seeking a spiritual leader who is called to serve our Lord Jesus Christ within a culturally diverse environment. For the past three decades, our church has been a beacon of faith, providing spiritual guidance in our native Hmong language. Much like the early church in Antioch, where the Word of the Lord was proclaimed in many languages, our community has found a spiritual sanctuary where we can understand and receive the Lord's Word in our own tongue. Through these blessings, many souls have been saved in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

However, as our community evolves, we find ourselves at a juncture where the need to adapt to a new generational audience and changing environment has become apparent. We are now in search of a leader who can effectively communicate the Lord's Word to this new context. We do not require or prioritize bilingual ability. We believe that those who are called to serve will be given what they need to carry out that calling.

This is a calling to cultivate a changing, Christ-centered church that is rooted in tradition and reaching toward transformation. We are praying for someone who can provide strategic leadership, sound biblical teaching, and a vision for growth that is both spiritual and relational.

A Church Ready to Grow

Our building can comfortably accommodate up to 150 to 200 people, and our parcel includes ample parking and outdoor space. We have a pavilion and open grounds that allow us to host gatherings, cookouts, sports events, fundraisers, and community outreach programs. These resources are not just conveniences—they are opportunities. We envision a pastor who can help us use these spaces to build relationships, welcome new families, and create moments of joy and connection that reflect the love of Christ.

As a language church, we honor our Hmong identity and culture. At the same time, we are committed to adapting to our environment and embracing the diversity of our community. We seek to build bridges across racial and cultural lines, welcoming all who seek truth, healing, and salvation.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

• Has a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ

• Is passionate about preaching the Gospel and leading others to salvation

• Is willing to learn about the Hmong culture and partner with its congregation

• Can develop strategies for spiritual growth and community outreach

• Is gifted in discipleship, leadership development, and pastoral care

• Has a heart for cross-cultural ministry and relational evangelism

What We Offer:

• A faithful and welcoming congregation

• A vibrant cultural foundation and language ministry

• A facility and outdoor space ready for ministry and outreach

• Support, ministry resources, and leadership development

• A chance to lead a church that is ready to grow in faith, unity, and impact

We believe that God is preparing a pastor who will walk with us, lead us, and help us grow into the church we are called to be. If you feel called to this kind of ministry—one that is rooted in heritage, driven by vision, and centered on Christ—we would love to hear from you.

Please send us a letter of interest with your resume, any materials that reflect your pastoral experience and vision for ministry or questions to Vong Lee or Suzanne Lee. Suzanne's email is [email protected]. We are praying for the right leader to join us in this sacred journey.

In Christ's love and hope,

Vong Lee,

Deacon

Hmong American Baptist Church
