Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Preach and teach Scripture with clarity and conviction each week during Sunday service, guiding the order of worship, prayer and preaching.
  • Provide pastoral care, including hospital visits, counseling, and prayer
  • Guide the church in spiritual growth, discipleship, and outreach
  • Work with church leadership on vision, planning, and decision‑making
  • Support and encourage volunteers and ministry leaders
  • Represent the church within the local community

Qualifications

  • A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and evidence of the character and leadership qualities described in 1 Timothy 3:1–7 and Titus 1:5–9
  • Agreement with our church's Doctrinal Statement
  • Demonstrated preaching and teaching ability
  • Ministry experience (small‑church or rural ministry experience preferred)
  • Seminary or Bible college training preferred but not required
  • A life marked by a sincere love for Christ and others
  • Strong relational and organizational skills shaped by a shepherd's heart
  • Ability to work collaboratively with church leadership
  • Basic computer and internet proficiency for communication, sermon preparation, and routine administrative tasks.
  • Pass a criminal background check and submit to interviews with our search committee members. Applicants may be asked for multiple interviews, sermon samples, and to speak for our congregation during the interview process.

Compensation & Details

  • Position: Full-time
    • This is a full‑time pastoral position. While the work is consistent, the weekly schedule is flexible and not tied to set office hours
  • Work Location: In Person
  • Starting salary: $40,000
  • Mileage Reimbursement
  • Start date: Flexible and prayerfully discerned
