Lead Pastor Opening: Tri-City Baptist Church, Parkersburg, WV
Tri-City Baptist Church (TCBC), an independent, Reformed Baptist congregation in Parkersburg, WV, is seeking a Lead Pastor. Our current pastor, who has served TCBC for 35 years, will resign upon the calling of his successor.
Doctrine and Polity: The TCBC Statement of Faith is based primarily on the 1853 New Hampshire Confession of Faith. We are committed to the authority and sufficiency of Scripture, expositional preaching, and the doctrines of grace. We practice elder-led congregationalism, with congregational rule under the leadership of a plurality of elders.
Job Description
The Lead Pastor serves as the primary preaching and teaching pastor and as first among equals with our other elders. The candidate must meet the biblical qualifications for an elder (1 Timothy 3 & Titus 1), fully agree with the TCBC statement of faith, be ordained to gospel service, and have previous pastoral experience. He should have demonstrated gifting in expositional preaching and teaching, and a shepherd's heart.
