Job Overview

Fundraising Missionary Position

  • Spend time with ministry children according to the approved schedule. Engage with each child in a way that fits their personality, developing constructive relationships of support and inspiration
  • Supervise and evaluate the practices and environment in family groups, collaborating with the Children's Services team to implement positive improvements
  • Manage caregivers in the assigned family groups, including supervising, training and evaluation and mentoring as needed
  • Monitor the individual spiritual, physical, academic and mental health needs of each child, ensuring each child receives necessary care
  • Communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms with children, coworkers, supervisors, etc.
  • Submit required reports and follow administrative procedures
  • Ensure proper resources are available for the care of the children. Solicit and procure missing ones as needed
  • Collaborate with Children's Services, Education, and Ranch staff members to develop and implement suggested strategies for positive growth
  • Maintain status as a full-time fundraising missionary
  • Maintain a personal walk with Christ. Be involved in a local church, Bible studies, etc. Display this spiritual growth and maturity to those around you, both professionally and in your personal life

Job Description

World Gospel Outreach is looking for the right people to join our team as Mentor Parents for children at Rancho Ebenezer. Mentor Parents are married Christian couples that live at Rancho Ebenezer to participate as members of Children's Services, whose focus is developing critical relationships with ministry children in order to provide for their developmental needs. Mentor Parents focus primarily on proactively interacting with children in structured and unstructured settings, in order to be deeply involved in the life of each child, and to encourage their development toward ministry values and goals. Mentor Parents must have a clear view of the gospel in their own lives and a clear understanding of their role in cross-cultural ministry that mirrors the core values of WGO. This position will focus on emphasizing empowerment and the personal responsibility of each child, and they must participate in a way that is consistent with organizational goals, requirements, and training.
