We're looking for someone who has a heart for worship, ministry, music, and reaching our community—someone who can help lead our congregation in meaningful worship through song while also helping us connect with our community through outreach, events, and digital media.
The primary objective of this position is to lead Spring Place Baptist Church in worship through music and increase engagement with the community through social media platforms and events.
Ministry Area/Department: Ministerial Position: Music Leader & Outreach Coordinator Accountable to: Lead Pastor Ministry Target: Congregation/Community Position Is: Paid Staff Minimum Maturity Level: Stable, maturing Christian Talents or Abilities Desired: Musician, experience and/or education in the music field, capable of leading a blended music service, skilled in leading congregational worship through song, basic knowledge of audio/visual, familiar with Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram

Regular office hours: 40 hours a week
Position Summary
In leading the music ministry, this individual will provide spiritual, musical, and organizational leadership for the music ministry of Spring Place Baptist Church. Working closely with the Senior Pastor, he will develop and lead Christ-centered, biblically faithful, and spiritually engaging worship services that support the church's mission and vision. The ideal candidate will be a worshiper before a performer and a team leader who is passionate about developing others and encouraging congregational participation.
In leading the outreach ministry, this individual will focus the church's energy and resources on engaging the surrounding community with the love of Christ. This includes building relationships with local organizations, identifying community needs, and mobilizing the congregation to serve and share the gospel. Effective outreach ministry requires both a pastoral heart and a community development mindset. The outreach minister must understand the real needs of the community, build trust with community leaders and organizations, and create on-ramps for congregation members to get involved in meaningful ways.
Responsibilities/Duties
Plan celebrative and meaningful worship services in conjunction with the pastor Communicate regularly and clearly with volunteers, staff, church members, and guests Recruit, train, and manage scheduling of volunteers Schedule and direct rehearsals Help as needed with administrative tasks Organize outreach events throughout the year including community events, neighborhood outreach, follow-up efforts, service projects, and evangelistic initiatives Keep community and congregation informed through various forms of digital and print media Manage the Music and Outreach ministry budgets, including responsible oversight of expenditures and appropriate use of church-issued credit cards
